CHABLIS GRAND CRU BOUGROS VIEILLES VIGNES 2011 : 2 stars
‘Everything is neat and tidy at Domaine Roy, event the new bottle packaging. But it’s what is inside that interests us, and it is remarkable. Pure terroir. A wine of character, generous and mineral. Notes of gun-flint, titillating a floral nose. In the mouth the attack is fresh, sharp, incisive, revealing good material underlined by its minerality. ‘’With such purity the future is assured’’ says a won-over taster. One star for the Preuses 2011 (1 200 bottles), lighter but also delicate’.
PETIT CHABLIS 2011
‘Freshness and minerality, that is what the tasters found in this petit-Chablis, typical of the appellation. A citrus nose (grapefruit, orange peel,) and white peaches, open into a hint on iodine. The mouth is lively, with the acidity dominant. The hint of iodine is present again, and a saline finish ensures that this bottle is destined to be served with sea food’
